This post would have taken up to 3 different pages or posts, but i decided to add this up here, since it’s a total review of the Infinix Note 3, unboxing it, hands on reviews and the first Video teasing.

THE Infinix note 3 is one of the Hottest smartphone ever produced by the infinix mobility. The infinix note 3 (x601) is the predecessor of the Note 2, and there is definitely an improvement, when comparing both of this smartphones. Although i really loved the Infinix note 2, the Note 3 have some cool premium features and sleek designs, making it irresistible for smartphone lovers.

Infinix Note 3 X601

Here are some of the Key Features in a Glance.

3 card slots: 2 SIM, 1 SD-card
Android 6.0 M
6.0″ FHD IPS Display
Fingerprint sensor
Premium Metal Body
64-bit Octa-Core 1.3Ghz

The Infinix Note devices are called “Note”, mainly because of their sizes. The Infinix note series are mainly known for their big batteries and this device is not different from it’s predecessors.

The Infinix Note 3 X601 succeeds last year’s leading entry level phablet, the Infinix Note 2, and here is a quick rundown of what this phone have. It still features a massive 6-inch display, but with more pixels squeezed in for a more brilliant picture and sleek design, making it slimmer than the Note 2.

The Android Smartphone offers a premium metal design, Comes with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), a fingerprint sensor like the Hot S and a 4500 mAh battery, which is way bigger than the infinix hot s (3000mAh) and the Note 2 4040mAh.

Infinix Note 3 Price in Nigeria

Unlike the Infinix hot S, which came with a 3000mAh battery, the Note 3 came with a surprising 4500 mAh battery which is slightly bigger compared to the Note 2, which came with 4040 mAh. The new 4500 mAh battery supports fast charging (Which is also known as Flash Charging). According to the interesting video i watched regarding this device, when fully charged, the battery can give you up to 200 minutes of talk time with just 5 minutes of charging.

Besides the powerhouse of the Battery, the Infinix Note 3 didn’t differs from the Note 2 when it comes to screen sizing. It comes with a 6 inch display. If you don’t like Phones with big screen, then this phone isn’t made for you in mind.

I have come across several persons who says 5.5 inch is the height they can go for, but others prefers the 6inches latest phablet screen size. But personally, i think 6inch is okay. If you have both the Infinix note 2 and Note 3 in your hands, you’ll discover that the Note 3 is slightly sleeker/slim when compared with the Note 2.

OverHeating

If you have used a phone that have overheating issues, you’ll come to understand why this is a problem. But thank God, this is a solved issue in the Note 3. According to publications released by the Infinix Mobility, the Note 3 comes with Aerospace Cooling Technology that prevents it from overheating anytime, regardless of how much you’ve used it.

To be candid, this is the very first Infinix smartphone to have this technology when it comes to charging and using the phone. One of the biggest problem I encountered while reviewing the Infinix Zero 3, was its battery and how it overheats when charging, playing games or doing other times that consumes battery. Am happy to see a company that listens to her customers, and Infinix have one of the most active support online.

Design and Display

Like i said in the introduction phase, the Infinix Note 3 shaves off nearly 1 mm of depth when compared to to its predecessor, which makes it 8.4 mm. The sleek metal design makes the phone have a high taste design and look.

This device comes in ONLY two colors, which is the: Gold and Silver.

Infinix Note 3 is built and shipped with a 6-inch IPS display like its predecessor. But there is a huge difference when it comes to brilliancy and clarity, the display comes with twice as much pixels, which offers 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution for a more brilliant view and photo taking.

So for those who love using their Mobile smartphones to watch Movies, Videos or stream videos, this is your ideal phone. The massive screen which accompanies the Infinix Note 3 makes browsing the web a more enjoyable experience.

Cameras Reviews

Just like the crazy Infinix Hot 4, the Infinix Note 3 is having its front facing camera upgraded from the Note 2 2MP to 5 megapixels, which makes the front camera more clear for taking pictures. This combined with the introduction of a soft LED flash should make for great selfies and wefies.

However, there isn’t any difference or upgrade regarding the back screen. Infinix Note 3 comes with a 13 megapixels rear camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash for taking beautiful pictures, even in the darkness places or time.

Hardware and Software Reviews

Infinix Note 3 full reviews

For those who are very concerned as to which android platforms the Infinix Note 3 runs, it is the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) on a 1.3GHz octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM, which makes the phone faster and easier to operate.

This phablet sports 16GB built-in storage. Unlike the Hot S, which came with ONLY 2 slots, the Infinix note 3 came with 3 different slots, two for simcards (it’s a dual sim phone) and one for microSD slot that supports up to 128GB additional storage. Like the Infinix Hot S and Hot 4, the smartphone sports a fingerprint sensor on the back. Giving you the maximum security offered by the Latest Samsung Galaxy s7.

This phablet is a dual micro SIMs and have a surprising download speeds of up to 150Mbps through 4G LTE.

Here are some Surprising Things about Infinix Note 3

  • Offers dual-band Wi-Fi,
  • Digital Compass,
  • Aerospace cooling technology (This goes extra miles in helping to cool down the device by passing fluid through embedded copper pipes) making your phone always cool, not matter what phase it passes through. Like previously released infinix phones, when charging, playing games, etc, you’ll discover that the Device gets hot.

Infinix Note 3 offers more battery capacity than its predecessor. This device comes with a whooping 4500 mAh battery combined with the battery saving features of the XOS software, this newly released Android phone promises long battery life of up to two days or even more, but this depends on what you used it for.

Flash Charging

Gone are the days when you need to wait for 3 Hours before your android phone or Smartphones needs to be 100% fully charged. With the newly introduced Flash charging, you can charge your device in less than 99 Minutes to 100% and it’s as strong as ever.

The phone supports fast charging (XCharge 3.0) . The Infinix Note 3 can be fully charged in 99 minutes and a 5 minutes charge can give you up to 200 minutes talktime according to Infinix Mobility.

Unboxing Infinix Note 3

When it comes to my most favorite part in Smartphones reviews, it’s Unboxing, because here is where i get to test the full specification of the Mobile device, and push it to it’s maximum.

Unboxing the infinix Note 3 is a joy, and give me the opportunity of leading you there. I will be giving you a full insight as to what you should expects, when you purchase the Infinix Note 3.

Unboxing Infinix Note 3

Well Packaged

As you can see from the Video which is shared below, the very first impression you’ll get, when you decided to purchase this device, is that it’s very sleek and have a premium look and touch. One of the most captivating thing is that it comes with it’s OWN Glass Screen guide, saving you the extra money to get one.

Not to mention, it ALWAYS comes with it’s ear designed Ear piece, to listen to your Music, talk shows, anytime and anywhere. Like all devices, it came with it’s original charger.

Packaging and Design

infinix Note 3 Package

The Infinix Note 3 is built and comes in a neat blue rectangular package as shown in the above picture. The design of the package is rather basic, since it does not need to be packed fill with gold. I really love the simple design. However, the minimalism of the package gives the smartphone a great appeal.

What’s in the Package?

  • AC Charger (White)
  • USB Cable (White)

  • Specs Leaflet
  • SIM Tray Ejector Tool

First Impressions When Unboxing

The very first impression i got when unboxing the Note 3 was wow.

What made me fall instantly in love with this smartphone, is it’s design, especially the metallic design. Infinix decided to ditch the poly-carbonate construction which it has used on several of it’s previous phone designs, and decided to go with a metallic one. This is a great and super awesome move since the smartphone now has the elusive premium design that was is often absent on budget smartphones.

Another impressive addon, which was expected, is the 6.0-inch Full HD display. This is a jump from the 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution from the Note 2. The use of a full HD resolution gives the Infinix Note 3, an awesome vibrancy and clarity when watching Videos, Streaming, Reading ebooks or browsing the internet. It is a great feel.

Lastly, i’ll be speaking on the fingerprint sensor. The sensor is fast and accurate and exceeded my expectation. it isn’t something that can easily be manipulated. I discovered to my dismay that most often, fingerprint sensors on budgeted smartphone hardly work as they are advertised, but not with the Note 3.
